The study, of which Prof. Yvan Torrente is Principal Investigator, has been approved by the Ethics Committee of the Fondazione IRCCS Ca' Granda Ospedale Maggiore Policlinico and will be held at the same hospital in Milan.
The aim of the trial is to evaluate the efficacy of the natural compound on a cohort of 60 patients, including 20 with Duchenne muscular dystrophy, 20 with facio-scapulo-humeral dystrophy, 20 with cingulate dystrophy, over a period of 6 months.
The supplement object of the study is a 100% natural mixture and based on Omega3, Turmeric, green tea extract, scutellaria, coenzyme Q10, L-acetyl-carnitine and vitamins A, C and E, therefore free from side effects or interactions with drugs of any kind. The same, in the preliminary preclinical investigations, has shown us to have an improved effect towards the vascularization of muscle tissue, in the reduction of oxidative damage, in the increase of muscle endurance and in the improvement of muscle recovery after physical effort.
The study will have a duration of 6 months starting from May 2016
